Again, it's been a while since we added some bootlegs and even more of a while since we had some videos for you guys - so here's a load of both!
First the videos. As previously reported, Arctic Monkeys were MTVU's House Band for the week and did a feature called 'Uber Live' which contained performances and interviews with the band.
Now the bootlegs. We have finally got around to adding the live gig from Toronto's Air Canada Centre on March 20 when the lads supported Oasis.
Also, we have an extra special recording of a blistering performance from Seattle Crocodile Café, the band's final date of their recent US tour. Plenty of lyrics changes in this one.
Worth a Look:
- Beginning of 'When The Sun Goes Down' - Seattle Crocodile Cafe
- Lyrics in following verse of 'From the Ritz to the Rubble' changed: 'Last night, what we talked about / made so much sense'
- Various other usual and unusual lyric changes
Arctic Monkeys have been nominated for an Ivor Novello at the forthcoming ceremony on May.
The lads are in the category for 'Best Song Musically and Lyrically' with 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and are placed against Coldplay with 'Speed of Sound' and KT Tunstall's 'Suddenly I See'
The 51st Ivor Novello Awards will be held at London's Grosvenor House on May 25.
It seems that there is a bit of confusion surrounding this article. Someone has purchased the Arctic Monkey's Myspace page for over £1,000. It was not operated by Domino or anyone from the band or management.
And no, we didn't buy it .
During the recent visits in New York, the bands gig on March the 25th at Webster Hall was taped by the folks at MTV for a feature they call "Uber Live." Everything turned out so well they've denoted the band as "House Band" for the week. Check out the live footage, interviews and additional video footage at www.mtvu.com
So yeah, you can view almost a full set of live performances, with some interviews in between. Good stuff; be sure to check it out.
