Arctic Monkeys Design Clothing Range
|
|
Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has designed a line of clothing for urban brand Supremebeing.
Helders, often seen wearing Supremebeing clothes, told of his enthusiasm:
"I've always been interested in doing stuff like this, and I love the Supremebeing gear, so when they asked if I wanted to do something with them I was well up for it!"
The range, which will be known as "The Supremebeing Arctic Monkeys Range" is expected to go on sale in May and will consist of a jacket, a zip hood and three t-shirts.

The Kooks: 'We Owe Our Success To Arctic Monkeys'
|
|
The Kooks have offloaded stacks of praise and gratitude to Arctic Monkeys for the amazing year the Brighton boys have endured since the release of their debut album 'Inside In/Inside Out'.
Singer Luke Pritchard said:
"God bless the Arctic Monkeys because if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have been so shielded. We were so overshadowed by the success it (their album) because it was so monster and we crept in behind everybody's back. Arctic Monkeys shielded us from having too much attention."
Guitarist Hugh Harris was equally amazed at the success of the fastest-selling Arctic Monkeys debut album:
"How can not be impressed by that? It's amazing. It's incredible what they've done."

Arctic Monkeys Join Little Flames On Stage
|
|
Arctic Monkeys made a shock appearance at the Deltasonic Christmas Party in Liverpool on Saturday night (Dec 16) to play alongside The Little Flames.
As many know, The Little Flames are good friends of Arctic Monkeys having supported them during the Spring tour of this year.
All four members of Arctic Monkeys came on to add extra vocals, guitar, bass and drums to The Little Flames' final song 'Put Your Dukes Up, John' which Arctic Monkeys covered as a b-side earlier in the year.
Singer Eva Peterson introduced the band to the stunned crowd:
"We're going to be joined now by our little cousins."
"This one will sound better with the Arctic Monkeys."
This is the first time Arctic Monkeys have performed since the Summer's Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals.

Second Album 'Nearly Finished'
|
|
Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has revealed that the band's second album is near completion.
The album is set to be released sometime in late Spring next year, and Helders said:
"We've nearly finished. We've just been up to Liverpool to finish it off. We've been getting more help from our producers, Mike Crossey and James Ford from Simian Mobile Disco who we'd worked with before on B-sides."
"It's definitely different - a step on, I guess. We're all better at playing us instruments. It's as simple as that really. It's a bit louder and a bit faster in places but we've still got the slow bits as well."
