Andy Wants to Return? |
|
Ex-Arctic Monkeys bass player Andy Nicholson is said to be begging for a chance to return to the band, after being kicked out only a few weeks ago.
According to The People a source close to Andy and the rest of the band, has revealed that "fatigue" may not have been the only reason they split and told the paper:
"He has been begging to come back, but Alex has said No.
"Andy is devastated. The band was his life and now he has nothing.
"While the others have been performing all over the world, Andy has been moping around in Sheffield.
"There was a falling out. They need to sit down and sort out their differences.
"Who knows? Maybe there is still a chance of Andy returning." |

Arctic Monkeys Talk About Split With Andy |
|
Arctic Monkeys have finally spoke of ex-bass player Andy Nicholson's departure. The band found themselves backstage at Oxegen festival on the Gonzo brown couch with Zane Lowe and explained how touring played a part in Andy leaving the band and that they're all still good mates.
Guitarist Jamie Cook said:
"I sent him a message yesterday actually, telling him to have a good one and that."
Frontman Alex Turner added:
"To start with we were in Lisbon at the end of the European thing and he decided he didn’t want to come to America. And that was cool, and then, I don’t know, I guess we found ourselves in this situation by the end of the American tour.
"I mean, a lot happens, it’s not just like three weeks in a normal thing, it’s three weeks with your head all over the place. I mean, it’s a difficult thing to explain, I don’t think anyone will really understand this except us three and Andy" |

Cookie to Auction Fake ID |
|
Arctic Monkeys guitarist Jamie Cook will auction off his fake ID card, which he purchased from students attending one of the band's gigs in the US.
As previously reported, the band bought fake ID cards from students during their recent tour of the US as all members were under the legal drinking age of 21.
Speaking to XFM Manchester, Cookie said:
You can auction this for charity. We could give you some Finding Nemo tissues But you can have my fake ID from America. This were even in the Daily Star! Next time I go back I’ll be 21 so [I don’t need it]. I’ll sign it as well."

We haven't had any acoustics in a while, and there's a been a few recently.
The first recording is 'No Buses' from the LeMouv' 'Nova' live radio session in France. During this session, the band played a new song called "I've Been Here Before' though nobody managed to record this.
We've also got a full radio session from 99x Studios' 'Live X' session in Atlanta. The session includes both 'Riot Van' and 'No Buses' performed acoustic and also an interview with the lads.
