| "No More TV Shows" say Arctic Monkeys | ||
| Arctic Monkeys continued their television protest by finally announcing they will not appear on any more TV shows. The band say they will continue to appear on live shows, though pre-recorded interviews and such like are out of the question. 'Monkeys drummer Matt Helders said "The TV interviews we did were abysmal. We just don't want to do it. We don't think we should have to do that stuff just because we're in a band. "You can't win - either you're a knobhead for not doing stuff, or you bore people if they see your face everyday." The band's lead singer Alex Turner added "And then there's the politics. You can't do one TV show without doing the other." |
