Arctic Monkeys Midweek Update |
|
As you all know, Arctic Monkeys released their second album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' on monday and it looks set to be a huge smash hit in the charts by the end of this week, much like the record-breaking debut album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'. Contest only really comes in the form of current chart-topping album 'The Best Damn Thing' by Avril Lavigne.

Arctic Monkeys Slam Current Hip-Hop State....and Mark Ronson |
|
Arctic Monkeys have laid into the current state of hip-hop music and also had time to state their disliking of [Lily Allens producer] Mark Ronson's cover of The Smiths.
Speaking to The Sun, Alex Turner said:
"I hate all those 'Pop Idol' singers. And let me tell you what I can't stand - that fucking R&B cover version of 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before'."
Jamie Cook added thoughts about hip-hop being dead:
"Even music I don't usually listen to, like hip-hop, is obviously bad at the moment. There is no real hip-hop anymore.
"Timbaland is a good producer, but he's in every song right now. Come on, there are other producers - and other beats."
