Where did the website idea come from?

Well, in mid 2005 the band started to appear on websites more and more and were mentioned a lot in the music press. Many people were starting to hear the demos but there were still few websites other than the official one. I thought that this gap could be filled with a great fan site which has hopefully been accomplished.

Where did the site name come from?

Just about any Arctic Monkeys fan will know that "Mardy Bum" is the title of one of the band's tracks. It is also one of the most loved songs by the fans and so we thought it would be a great name for a website.
