Second Album Well Underway |
|
Alex Turner has revealed his excitement about returning to the recording studio, after announcing that the band already have ten new songs for their second album.
In an interview with Nuts Magazine, he said:
"The second album will be different I think. We've already got more than ten songs, because we've been writing for a long time.
The last song that went on the (first) album - 'You Probably Couldn't See For The Lights But You Were Looking Straight At Me' - was written last May.
So there are all the songs that we've written since then and they're all a bit different. I'll just be excited about getting back into the studio."
Alex also mentioned how the lads like to have a bit of fun and games with their success:
"I think we write great tunes and we ruffle feathers pretty well. I think, when you're in a position to do some feather ruffling, it's not always a bad thing. I don't know even why we do it - we just like being fucking naughty little boys sometimes."
Here's to more feather-ruffling and a great second album, people. |

Jack White Loves Arctic Monkeys |
|
Jack White, one half of legendary rock duo White Stripes and guitarist from The Raconteurs has declared his love for the Arctic Monkeys.
Speaking to MTV.co.uk, he said:
"I love the Arctic Monkeys. Who doesn't? I'd love to see them live, but haven't got round to it yet. I never get to see bands because I'm never in the same town for more than two seconds."
This isn't the first time Mr. White has stated he likes the Sheffield lads. When touring the UK with the White Stripes last year he mentioned 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' as being his current favourite track.
He also said jokingly that he would like to "work" with the band, saying:
"We'll start with the gardening and move on to the housework."
Funny man. |
