Album Rush Release Was NOT Due To Leak |
|
We previously reported that the new Arctic Monkeys album was being rush released due to the album leaking online but according to their label "Domino Records", the album release date has been brought forward due to a quicker than expected manufacturing process.
Laurence Bell of Domino Records explained:
"People are always putting albums back so we thought it would be fun to bring some forward. We did the same with Franz Ferdinand. The manufacturing went quicker than anticipated and the thinking is that the albums are going to do more good if they are in the shops rather than sat in the Domino warehouse for an extra week. And the sooner people can hear this incredible record the better. It's going to be the soundtrack to 2024." |

Arctic Monkeys Album Rush Released |
|
It'll be out sooner than you think.
The release of Arctic Monkeys' debut album has been brought forward.
'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' was planned for January 30. However, "demand" means the record will hit shops one week earlier - on January 23.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the album had leaked online, although it is currently unclear if the leak has forced the change.

Arctic Monkeys Plan Hip Hop Remixes |
|
...of tracks from their debut album
Arctic Monkeys are reportedly considering commissioning a number of hip hop remixes of songs from their debut album.
All four members of the Sheffield band are well known fans of the rap genre and walk out on stage to the backing of Dr Dre's "Next Episode".
A source told the Daily Star: "The lads are all massive hip hop heads. They're always blasting out Dre and The Neptunes in their dressing room."
"They're in talks with a number of producers with a view to releasing some hip hop mixes."
